Common cardiovascular concerns we evaluate
Outpatient evaluation of common heart and vascular conditions, symptoms, and cardiovascular risk factors with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, and follow-up.
Angina / Chest Pain
Evaluation of chest discomfort, exertional symptoms, possible ischemia, and cardiovascular risk when clinically appropriate.
Atrial Fibrillation
Assessment of atrial fibrillation, rate and rhythm control, stroke-prevention considerations, and ambulatory monitoring when appropriate.
Coronary Artery Disease
Evaluation and follow-up of known or suspected coronary artery disease, including symptom review, prevention, and risk-factor management.
Heart Failure / Cardiomyopathy
Outpatient evaluation of heart-failure symptoms such as shortness of breath, edema, fatigue, and reduced exercise tolerance, with focus on medical management and follow-up.
High Cholesterol / Dyslipidemia
Structured review of cholesterol results and overall cardiovascular risk, including LDL-C, non-HDL-C, ApoB, triglycerides, Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], and NMR lipoprotein fractionation / particle analysis when clinically appropriate, with individualized prevention strategies.
Hypertension
Evaluation of high blood pressure, home readings, medication plans, ambulatory blood-pressure monitoring, and lifestyle strategies for long-term heart and vascular health.
Shortness of Breath
Assessment of shortness of breath or decreased exercise tolerance to help determine whether symptoms may be related to the heart, blood pressure, rhythm, valve disease, or another cause.
Palpitations
Evaluation of racing heart, skipped beats, fluttering, or intermittent rhythm symptoms, with ECG review and ambulatory rhythm monitoring when appropriate.
Syncope / Near Syncope / Dizziness
Cardiovascular evaluation of fainting, near-fainting, or unexplained dizziness when a cardiac or rhythm-related cause is a concern.
Valvular Heart Disease / Cardiac Murmur
Evaluation and follow-up of heart murmurs and valve disorders, including echocardiographic assessment when appropriate.
Peripheral Arterial Disease
Evaluation of lower-extremity circulation concerns, exertional leg symptoms, and peripheral arterial disease, including ABI testing when appropriate.
Cardiovascular Risk Evaluation
Preventive cardiovascular risk assessment incorporating blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes status, smoking, family history, lifestyle, and selected advanced lipid markers such as ApoB and Lp(a) when clinically appropriate.
Preoperative Cardiovascular Evaluation
Cardiovascular assessment before selected procedures or surgery when requested by the treating or surgical team.
